The only answer to the question why replace industrile grilles with decorative grilles is why not. Industrial returns are ugly and our decorative grilles are functional works of art. There are degrees of necessity, if there are decorating priorities.

“The details are not the details. They make the design.” ~ Charles Eames
Here are some examples of industrial grilles in spaces which have been designed with the exception of the industrial grille. Details do matter. Replacing an industrial grille with a decorative grille adds beauty to the space it occupies. In the case of our decorative grilles they also add improved functionality.
An effort was made to blend this industrial grille with the same finish as on the walls. It is still an unattractive louvered vent cover.

“My home is like an art gallery, but the truth is I get more questions about where I got your Filter Grille than I get about my art collection. I love it. ” Mary Jo
Replacing Industrial Grilles with Decorative Grilles to improve functionality
“I always hated the white louvered return grille in my third floor gabled office. Not only was it ugly, it made a loud sucking sound when the AC or heat was on. There was dust build up on the white vent cover that required monthly cleanings. I recently purchased your Arts and Crafts return grille. As soon as I removed the industrial vent cover the noise stopped. When I installed the decorative grille I expected the sucking sound to return, but to my surprise it didn’t. Your grille eliminated that annoying sound, what a bonus. Now I love my grille in the gabled ceiling.” Fred, Pensacola, Florida
