This is one of my favorite wall panel designs. The wall area outside the panels was faux finished to look like a silk fabric. Inside the panels was stenciled with a damask. The background of the damask is a gold metallic that compliments the finish on the Louis XIV architectural wall panels. This identifies nicely the areas created by adding wall panels. The wall area outside the panels, the wall area inside the panels and the architectural wall panels themselves. Because the wall panels are added to the wall you can easily choose a finish which is not the color of the walls. Many times you will see paneled rooms and the panel moulding is the same color as the wall. That is because it is very difficult to paint the moulding another color once it is installed on the wall.
