Beaux-Arts Classic Products is proud to offer the most attractive and functional decorative grilles available in the marketplace. These decorative grilles can be used as return air grilles, return air filter grilles, supply vents, vent covers, speaker covers, radiator covers, foundation vent covers, crawl space grilles, bathroom exhaust fans and more. They are specifically designed for wall and ceiling installation, and should not be used as floor grilles. They are cast from an industrial quality urethane resin which faithfully reproduces the hand carving details of the originals. Resin is dimensionally stable. It won’t rot, rust, corrode or grow mold. Urethane resin decorative grilles are also virtually noise free as opposed to the stamped metal louvered vent covers commonly used in HVAC forced air systems. As air pressure increases due to dirty filters, closed off vents or poor design, metal louvered vent covers will vibrate, making a high pitch, irritating sound. Resin decorative grilles will reduce or eliminate noise problems. In addition, urethane resin is impervious to water and can be used in damp or wet locations, such as a decorative grille for a bathroom exhaust fan, or in and around an indoor swimming pool. Steel vent covers will soon rust in either location.
Our Arts and Crafts Decorative grilles were originally made in New York State in approximately 1870-1914. They are the most outstanding return air grilles ever made in the USA. Andrew Carnegie placed them in most of the Carnegie Libraries from 1883 to 1929. We have been manufacturing these historical reproduction supply vents in the USA since 2003, using the highest quality urethane resin which is strong, dimensionally stable and heat resistant and captures the exact details of the originals. They can be used for historic preservation since they meet U.S. Government’s General Services Administration Code #1501003S Standards for Historic Preservation Guidelines. They are intended for forced air heating and air conditioning systems as either return air grilles or supply vents. Use them to replace noisy HVAC louvered vents since they won’t make noise. Resin does not vibrate. They are made from an exterior grade resin appropriate for exterior applications such as foundation crawl space grilles and can be used in wet or damp locations such as fan covers in bathrooms or near indoor swimming pools. They will not rust, rot or corrode. They are maintenance free. You should not need to repaint, remove rust, corrosion or mold for the life of the grilles. Other uses are as speaker grilles in home theaters and historic theaters, or in-wall and in-ceiling speaker covers and can be installed in radiator cabinets as radiator grilles.
The Louis XIV grilles are historic reproductions of possibly the best grille ever made in Europe, Circa 1680’s. Certainly this is our newest and most elegant style vent cover. Technology makes it possible to create this classic acanthus leaf design into sizes for today’s heating and air conditioning vent covers. Use it to replace industrial louvered grilles for wall and ceiling applications only. They are not suitable for floors. The front surface of the grilles have incredible three dimensional details. They are not just hole punched sheet metal or the rough looking surfaces of cast iron or cast aluminum grilles. They are made from a high quality urethane resin, which is dimensionally stable, won’t rot, rust, corrode or grow mold. Resin grilles will also reduce or eliminate noise problems often found with stamped steel louver grilles. Resin grilles are durable and virtually maintenance free, plus they can be used in damp or wet locations, like bathrooms, exteriors and indoor swimming pools and other rooms on the same HVAC system. Easy installation, Predrilled screw-holes and all necessary hardware provided.
These grilles can be used as return air registers, supply vents, vent covers, speaker grilles, radiator grilles, foundation vents, crawl space grilles, bathroom exhaust fans and more.
